British Army Officers 40 Pattern BD Blouse

This is a standard issue 40 pattern BD blouse, which has been tailored to an open collar for officer use. The BD is an early made example, first year of production dated 10th December 1942. The contract label has the name of the firm which produced the BD, The West Auckland Clothing Co.LTD. Early made 40 pattern BD blouses have brown plastic buttons, late-war BD's from 1944 onwards have green plastic buttons. This BD is a in very good condition except for a single moth hole to the back. Its size stamped 15.
