U.S. Fatigue HBT Hat

The Herringbone Twill ( HBT ) fatigue hat was introduced in 1941and was issued to all troops except armoured and motor mechanics. This example retains its contract label, which gives the name of the manufacturer "Continental Hat & Cap Company", the size 6.5/8 the pattern date 7th November 1941 and the manufacturing date 16th February 1942.
