British 40 Pattern Battle Dress Blouse

This 40 pattern Battle Dress blouse is in very good condition and appears to have been officer used. The epaulettes have a number of small holes for rank pips, three sets on each epaulette indicating the rank of captain. Beside the pip holes there is no moth visible moth damage. The BD retains its contract label, which gives the manufacturers name Black & Co ( Clothiers LTD ). The date of manufacture, 9th march 1943 and the size 13. The BD is also stamped with the War Department year letter acceptance code "N" for 1943. The collar's lining has the original owners name written upon it "P.H.K.MERRIANS".
