U.S. Army Air Force Personal Grouping Set

This is a personal grouping set of a member of the 15th Army Air Force, which was activated on 1st November 1943, operating from Southern Italy and flying mainly B-24 liberators and B17 flying Fortresses. The grouping consisting a set of identy tags named to Carlton J. Robert, his unit patch, rank chevrons ( Technical Sergeant ) and overseas service bars indicating two years and six months overseas service. There is also three photographs of Sergeant Roberts two in this class "A" uniform and one standing by a B29 super fortress. Which is probably a post-war photograph as the 15th Air Force did not use B29's during the war. Or Sgt Carlton was transferred to the Pacific theatre which is also possible.
