U.S. M1910 T- Handle Entrenching tool & Carrier

This is a 1942 dated M1910 T- handle entrenching tool which has a unique unit badge painted on the actual spade. It possibly belongs to the 69th Infantry regiment which in incorporated a three leaf red clover shamrock and a rainbow in its coat of arms. The 69th Infantry Regiment which was nick named the Fighting Irish due to its large number of its soldiers where of Irish heritage. The entrenching tool comes with a 1943 dated carrier which is maker marked B.B.S.Co.
