German Army Parade Tunic
This is a very nice example of a private purchase senior NCO's parade tunic ( Waffenrock ). The parade tunic was produced from 1936 to 1940 as war demands took president, production of the waffenrock was stopped with production planned to resume after the war. This example has the branch of service piping in black for Engineers and Pioneers with the the rank of Feldwebel ( Senior Sergeant ) The epaulettes have the regiment number 66. The front of the tunic has one set of award loops possibly for a wound badge. The insignia is officer quality which was common practice for senior NCO's to use officer items.
