U.S. M1943 Field Jacket

The M1943 field uniform was first evaluated by units of the 3rd Infantry Division on the Anzio beach head in the summer of 1943. It was first issued in quantity in late 1944 to airborne units. Finally being issued to the rest of the U.S. Army in January 1945. This example is size marked 38 regular and has suffered with some minor damage to the left sleeve in the form of a tare near the elbow and just above the cuff. It retains contract label, however all the details are washed out. Still ideal for a display piece.
