British MKII Paratrooper Helmet

This is a MKII paratrooper helmet which is dated 1956 and maker marked CCL, which is either Christy & Co.LTD, Civic Company .Ltd or Charles Collet Ltd. The liner is size stamped 7.1/4. The helmet is identical to the WW2 pattern except for the colour. The webbing chinstraps where introduced in 1944 and where first worn in combat in September 1944 at the Battle of Arnhem This example is in very good condition with the rubber padding still supple .
