German 7x50 Gas Mask Binoculars & Carrying Case
An extremely rare example of 7x50 gas mask binoculars which had two special extendable rubber eye-pieces which allowed the user, to use the binoculars while wearing a gas mask. When the eye-pieces where in its normal position, the binoculars can be used as a standard pair of binoculars. The gas-mask binoculars would come with two sets of coloured eye lenses filters. This example is in extremely nice condition with the rubber eye pieces still soft and supple. The optics are crystal clear with visible graticules. This example is marked with the three letter maker's code "blc" for Carl Ziess and come with their carrying case which is also marked "blc" for Carl Zeiss" The carrying case for Gas mask binoculars differ from the standard carrying case as they also carried two sets of coloured eye piece filters, which this example still retains. The case also has a nice clear Third Reich era proof marking ( Waffenampt ).
