German Flare Cartridge Pouch

This is a flare cartridge pouch which would have originally carried 18 flare cartridges. Unfortunately this example has had 12 cartridge retainer loops removed. I suspect the pouch may have been used as a tool pouch post-war. The stitching has started to come apart at the left corner of the flap.
