This is a 1909 dated example of the M1895 Nagant revolver, which has had the Imperial markings dotted out by the Bolsheviks after the Russian revolution. The Nagant M1895 revolver was unique as it was the only revolver which had a cylinder gas seal, which allowed for a silencer to be fitted. It continued to be produced by the Soviets to 1945.
