U.S. Field Hat

This field hat was introduced in January 1941 and was intended to be worn with the fatigues instead of the garrison cap. This example is unissued and the contract label has the pattern date 7th November 1941 with a manufacturing date of 16th February 1942. The contract label also gives the manufacturers name Continental Hat & Cap Company and the size 6.7/8
