German MG13 LMG ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )
For sale to customers outside the European Union Only. The MG13 was a light machine gun which was constructed by rebuilding the 1918 model Dreyse machine guns which was left over from World War One. The only significant change was the adaptation of a air-cooling jacket and a mounting for the bipod. The MG13 was introduced into the German army in 1930 and when sufficient quantities of the MG34 become available to the German army the majority of the MG13's where sold to Portugal in 1938. However a number of MG13's remained in use with the Wehrmacht to 1945. This example is one of the Portuguese export models. The magazine and bipod are both dated 1938 and are maker marked 'BSW" for Berlin-Suhler Waffen und Fahrzeugwerke. For Non EU Sales Only. However can be re-deactivated to the current EU specification.
