German Large Capacity Water Bottle

This is a large capacity water bottle, which was originally designed as a medics water bottle. The medics water bottle has a different carrying harness which also has a shoulder strap. The large capacity water bottles where first issued to paratrooper and mountain troops. However it did get issued to regular troops . This example is in excellent condition which is maker marked C&CW and dated 1941. The felt cover is also maker marked and dated 1942.
