U.S. M1918 Browing Automatic Rifle Magazine Belt

This is a M1918 Browning Automatic rifle magazine belt, which can hold six magazines, spare parts pouch and cleaning kit. It has a supporting butt cup which allows the weapon to be fired from the hip. It also has a special pouch to carry two M1911 pistol magazines. Both pouches are dated May 1918 and the belt which is attached to the two pouches is dated June 1918. The set is maker marked R.H.Long.
