Canadian Light Weight Gas Mask & Contents

This is a British made Canadian issue light weight gas mask which was introduced in 1943. This example comes with its haversack, Anti-gas No5 ointment tin which still retains all of its ointment tubes. It also comes with it's anti-dust goggles and anti-lens dimmer. The mask is stamped with the letter C, combined with an arrow which is the Canadian War Department acceptance stamp. It is also dated 7th July 1943. Unfortunately one of the straps has torn from the canvas head pad. However it could easily be re-stitched into place. Beside the torn strap. The mask is in very good condition. The original owners fibre identity tag is still attached. The filter is dated 10th July 1944 and retains its cock seals which tends to be missing. The haversack is dated November 1943. The packet for the anti-dust goggl is also dated November 1943.
