A 1st pattern pith helmet with the Luftwaffe eagle and national tricolours. The pith helmet appears to have suffered with some water damage and the leather trim has frayed. This example is stamped with a RB number ( Reichsbetreibnummer ), which was introduced in 1943 replacing the numbered date stamp.
