German M17 Camouflage Helmet
A veterans bring back souvenir Camouflage M17 helmet which retains, its steel liner band. However the three leather pads are missing. The chinstrap is still attached but modified, so the helmet could be hang on a wall. I suspect this was probably done by the veteran or a member of his family. read more

A barn find non decal M40 helmet retaining its original wartime finish. The liner is still attached, however it has slightly dried and and one of the 8 segments and drawstring is missing. Part buckle of the chinstrap is also missing. However the long part of the chinstrap is still present. The batch number is "154", size stamped 64 with the maker's single letter code "Q" for F.W. East German M56/76 Helmet
This is the third version of the M56 helmet, which no longer has the external rivets. The M56 helmet had its origins in WW2, where it was designed to replace the helmets worn by the Wehrmacht during WW2. However the design was rejected by Hitler on the grounds that the helmet being worn by the Wehrmacht was a symbol of the German struggle. This example is in good condition. read more

This is in fact an original helmet, which retains an original army decal. However the shell has been repainted leaving the original decal visible. The shell has the batch number D387, size stamped 63 with the maker's code 'NS" for Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG. The liner is also original and size stamped 58.
