U.S. M1 Helmet & Mitchell Camouflage Cover

This is in fact a WW2 vintage M1 helmet which was period refurbished for use in Vietnam. This example is front seamed with a stainless steel rime which signifies the date of manufacture is between October 1943 to October 1944. In November 1944 the rim was replaced with manganese.
