The main body of the grenade has been repainted however it is in very good condition and retains its cardboard and rubber insert, which is normally always missing. This is a inert fifty round belt of 7.92mm ammunition for use with the German MG34 and MG42 machine guns. The belt can also be used for the Yugoslavian M53 machine gun, which is a post-war copy of the German MG42. All the rounds are post-war made, however the belt and starter tab are both WW2 manufactured. The starter tab is maker marked "ddc" ( Hermann Zenker ) and dated August 1941.
