German M40 Helmet

A barn find non decal M40 helmet retaining its original wartime finish. The liner is still attached, however it has slightly dried and and one of the 8 segments and drawstring is missing. Part buckle of the chinstrap is also missing. However the long part of the chinstrap is still present. The batch number is "154", size stamped 64 with the maker's single letter code "Q" for F.W. East German M56/76 Helmet

This is the third version of the M56 helmet, which no longer has the external rivets. The M56 helmet had its origins in WW2, where it was designed to replace the helmets worn by the Wehrmacht during WW2. However the design was rejected by Hitler on the grounds that the helmet being worn by the Wehrmacht was a symbol of the German struggle. This example is in good condition.  read more

This is a M34 Fire police helmet, which i believe the outside of the shell has bee repainted with reproduction decals applied. However the inside of the shell retains its original finish with the district number 13 still visible The liner and chinstrap are also original wartime manufacture.  read more

Luftschutz M35 Beaded Helmet

This is a Luftschutz M35 beaded helmet, which the exterior of the shell has been stripped and primed with red oxide paint ready to be re-sprayed. The interior of the shell retains its original finish, liner and chinstrap. The shell has the batch number 3662, size stamped 64 and has the maker's code 'SE" for Sachsische Emaillier-u.Stanwerke.  read more

Reproduction Army M42 Helmet

This is in fact an original helmet, which retains an original army decal. However the shell has been repainted leaving the original decal visible. The shell has the batch number D387, size stamped 63 with the maker's code 'NS" for Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG. The liner is also original and size stamped 58. The chinstrap is reproduction.  read more

Reproduction Waffen-SS M42 Helmet

This is in fact an original M42 helmet shell which has been horribly repainted a gloss green with reproduction Waffen-SS decals applied. It would benefit in a complete restoration project. It comes with a reproduction liner.  read more

This is a front seamed swivel bale helmet with the manganses rim which was manufactured between was produced between October 1944 to November 1945. This example is has lost most of its original finish exposing the bare metal which has gone a rusty brown colour, with traces of the its original paint visible. This is an M1 fixed bale front seamed helmet, which would have been manufactured between July 1941 to October 1943. This example has been period over painted black with two letters painted on the front of the helmet. The letters look to be 'OB" possibly for Observer.
