British MKIV Gas Mask & Contents

This is MKIV gas mask which was introduced in 1926. This example is in excellent condition and was manufactured on 20/11/1934 with the WD acceptance date 21/05/1935. The filter is dated 04/05/1934. Later examples have a black rubber lining, where early examples such this one has orange/red rubber lining. A very good example of civilian issue gas mask, which the rubber face piece is still supple. The mask comes with its original cardbord box which has a cotton outer cover, which would have been a private purchase item. The gas mask is dated January 1939 and is size stamped medium.  read more

A pair of size 9 hob nailed ankle boots which are maker marked Bros.Ltd. The boots are post-war made dated 1977. However they are identical to WW2 issue examples. A mid to late war rubberised rain cape, early war examples where brown or camouflaged with a golden yellow on the inside. Mid to late war where tan in colour as is the case with this example. It does have a faint makers stamp, unfortunately the date is not visible. However it marked with the original owners name and personal service number.  read more
